My Future Job

Something that I like about Chemistry and Pharmacy is the all the possibility that I have for work in a future.

Until now, I had thought work in the cosmetic industry or in clinical pharmacy, and in both I would have to work in indoors in spite of I don't like so much the idea, because for all the works in indoors I think in a person that is sitting in a office opposite a your computer and I hate that. I hope a work when I can make a lot of things or when I always can be make something.

I think that a important way of learn is travel and if I could talk or listen others professionals of the area for improve, I definitely do.  The same with the PhD. I don't know about what could be, but it will be for improve in my area, for be a good professional and because I will want it. I will want be better and learn about something that I like, because it's  true that I will work in something that I like. 

For this reason I don't think about the salary. It's true that the salary of a  Pharmacy is around 900.000 and 1.200.000 clp, and I will need make a good money for life, but I prefer do something that I like instead of make me rich. 

The more important to me is found a work when I can work for vocation and be happy with it.

Why Did you choose this career?

I've always been bad to decide, so when I had to choose a career was a long process When I was 6, I said that I'm going to be a pre-school teacher. I liked the work of my teacher in that moment, because I think that worked with children is beautiful.  Even so, I changed a lot my opinion about the career of my dreams . I thought of being a designer, physician or dentist... But I never was sure of my choice. During the high school, I realized that I loved language,  specially the lesson of means of communication. I liked do news, interview or I liked to learn about scenography, camara and all about television. I dreamed of being a journalist in the newspaper or be working on the set of a television  program. The most enjoyable subject ...

In this semester at the university I only have 6 subjects, of wich 4 of these are basic for the career and the rest are own of the pharmacy. If I'm totally honestly, none subject until now I have loved it. I say this because I don't like maths and physics, chemistry I like it, but it disappointed me and english for now I like it, but it's not my favourite. So, when they explained me the pharmacist and his action I liked in theory because I will know about the career and the meaning what is a pharmacist both in the labor field and the basics knowledges that I would have to have. And when they explained me the laboratory techniques subject, I liked too, because I had been in a laboratory and I liked the idea of being able to work again in one.
